Belize City

Although many tourists have been avoiding the city, this town center has plenty of sophisticated charm. Belize City has a great deal of history as the long-term capital of the colony and then an independent nation. And Belize City, especially the Creole, is the home of all the colorful figures that make up Belize’s melting pot society. Indeed, there are some places where the houses of ramshackle and slow-moving canals are elevated, but Belize City has a colonial home and a flotilla of sleek sailboats, vibrant shopping districts.
