Puerto Montt

Puerto Montt is a port city in southern Chile, in the Los Lagos Region, known for being an access road to the Andes Mountains and the Patagonia fjords. The neoclassical cathedral of the city, built with wood in the nineteenth century, looks from above to the Plaza de Armas. Nearby is the Diego Rivera Art House, which presents contemporary works by local and national artists. The Caleta de Angelmó market and the active volcano Calbuco are located just outside the city.
